GXU Organizes the 6th China Uniball Tournament for College Students

Sponsored by China Student Sports Federation and organized by Guangxi University, the 6th China Uniball Tournament for College Students was held in the basketball hall of the west campus at Guangxi University from September 21st to 27th. Yu Wenjin, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC GXU Committee and Vice President of Guangxi University, attended the opening ceremony and announced the commencement of the tournament. Nearly 200 team leaders, coaches and athletes of 21 teams hailing from 9 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions participated in the tournament which consisted of 3 groups: Group A (Sunshine Group), Group B (Higher Vocational College Group) and Group C (High-Level Group).

 

 

 

 

 

Throughout the 7-day competition, the teams staged 57 wonderful games. In the end, Changchun University of Chinese Medicine, Xinjiang Career Technical College, and Yili Normal University emerged victorious from their respective groups. The two teams representing Guangxi University placed fourth in Group C and seventh in Group A.

 

 

 

 

During the games, more than 30 guests from the China-ASEAN Youth Leaders delegation, including government officials and young leaders from the ten ASEAN countries, Timor-Leste, as well as Hong Kong and Macau, attended the games on site.

During the closing ceremony, the Chairperson of the Party Committee of GXU School of Physical Education returned the flag to Teng Chong, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the China Uniball Sports Promotion Committee. Furthermore, Teng Chong delivered the flag to the intended organizer of the "7th China Uniball Tournament for College Students ".

 

Jiang Li, the supervisor of China Student Sports Federation and Executive Deputy Secretary-General of Zhejiang School Sports Association, Teng Chong, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of China Uniball Sports Promotion Committee, Yu Hongyue, Project Director of China Student Sports Federation, and Party and Administration Leadership Team of GXU School of Physical Education attended the closing ceremony and presented awards to the winning teams.
