On October 9th, Pauline Kao, Consul General of the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou, visited Guangxi University accompanied by the head of the Consular Department of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Xia Guoen, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC GXU Committee and Vice President of GXU, attended the meeting.
Vice President Xia Guoen expressed his welcome to Pauline Kao and her delegation and briefly introduced the basic situation of Guangxi University and the exchange and cooperation programs between GXU and American universities. He also hoped that Pauline Kao would make a connection between GXU and high-level universities in the United States, promote scientific research cooperation and strengthen teacher-student exchanges.
Pauline Kao expressed her willingness to help GXU strengthen its connections with excellent universities in the United States, establish long-term friendly cooperative relationship, and promote more cooperation and exchanges between teachers and students from United States and Guangxi University. She also had a detailed understanding of the training of international students in Guangxi University, American teachers of GXU and other cooperation and exchange programs.
